I'm interested in finding out if anyone has any information that may help find these Boldon{various spellings} brothers. There was a Samuel Bolden listed on the 1830-50-60 census in Tipton Co. Wildcat twp.....think there is a possiblity that he is the brother to the 3 boys I'm interested in finding..... James b. ca1791 m. {1}Hannah Truax {2}Matilda Nutterfee.....they came from Nelson Co.KY...settled in Owen Co.IN....Wayne & Harrison Twp.....early 1820's....James was a J.P.....he had purchased land there....donated land there to start Old Little Mt. Baptist Church....they met in his home when the Church was first starting....I can't find him after the 1850 Owen Co.census.....Old family story says he moved up north in IN.....could it be to Tipton Co.?? Was he still preforming duties as a J.P. at that time?? Or did he die in Owen Co.?? There is NO will for him in Owen Co. McKinney b. 22 Nov 1792 m. Mary Ann Murphy......they came from Nelson Co.KY...settled in Owen Co.IN....living in Wayne & Harrison Twps. there.....McKinney's name has been spelled McKenzie, McKinza etc....he was in the was of 1812....he had a large family.....I have him on the 1830-40-50 census in Owen Co......nothing after that time period.....Did he die there or move on with his brother James somewhere?? They had another brother John Baldwin b. 1797 MD.....m. Elizabeth THOMAS....they to migrated to Owen Co. early 1820's.....lived there until moving north to Putnam Co. by 1850, then on to Mont. Co.IN 1860-70.....then I lose track of them too.....Can't find a death record on them or burial record.....I believe that John probably died sometime between 1870-71....as he didn't sign his grandaughters marriage record and he was her legal guardian her Uncle did....this was 1871......they lived in Union Twp...Crawfordsville P.O......did they die there?? What happened to these Boldon/Baldwin brothers?? If anyone has any clues, please let me know....or any ideas on somewhere else I should check.....all input is welcome. Thanks so much, N.J.Skinner White in MI.

Hi List, A lady named Phyllis on the list posted a website for research. And it is a great site - thank you Phyllis. I satrted checking the site and came up with the below that might be of help to someone. There are many, many surnames, maps, narratives, pictures (which can be enlarged & printed) In searching I didn't narrow down or limit the search fields: Typed in: (whatever state you are researching) Examples below: plantations north carolina early settlers north carolina slave owners north carolina slaves named in wills north carolina prisoners civil war north carolina quakers I didn't have a lot of luck doing a basic surname search - but many, many surnames are listed in articles: Small portion of article: example below: Mrs. Lula BOWERS narrative: There was a young man come up from Savannah. He was a great dancer. He danced all the dances. Then my son-in-law danced all the dances. Dixie Box, Jimmy Box, Lillie Box, Nanny Box, and Frank Warren were the biggest dancers around Estill. May Lawton was a great dancer - and Anna Sloane. The below url on the same sight Phyllis posted: American Memory All Collections Search (aol users - click underline - here - then type in area of research) http://lcweb2.loc.gov/ammem/mdbquery.html (other - copy & paste url - then type in area of research) Once again, thank you Phyllis for sharing this with all of us. After going through thru another batch of research, your line of Nutterfield/Nutterfee/ and Nutter's is they way to have to research this family, because of the number of times it has been mispelled. Point in case: Finally found George Nutter married Nancy W. Mcwilliams Jun 24, 1803 in Shelby County, Kentucky. Then Nancy Mcwilliams who married Andrew Black, This Nancy died bef.
