I am looking for info on the Beard and McCormick families. Emmett Bassett McCormick was born in 1855 and spent the greater part of his life in Owensboro, KY he had 2 sons Rodman D., Emmett A., and 1 daughter Sara Daly my great grandmother. His wife died when Sara was around 2 yrs old. I believe he may have remarried a Lena L. Emmett B. was a physician....Eugene Ferris Beard was also a physician he was born in 1853 in Kentucky. He took his medical schooling in Lexington, KY and had a practice there in 1913 if not before..He married Josephine Logan Banta in Pleasantville or Pleasant Hill, KY. Henry Co. My great grandfather Joseph Henry Beard was born in Henry Co., KY. Eugene and Josephine had 6 or 7 children as far as I can tell. If anyone can help with any info on the parents of Eugene F. Beard or Emmett Bassett McCormick or any other info on any of these people it would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks so much. Lynette

I am researching all Alvey's who came to KY from MD & VA after the Revolutionary War. They settled first in Nelson and Washington Co's then moved on to Hardin, Grayson, Daviess and Union Co's primarily. Many remained in that portion of Washington Co that became Marion Co in 1832.
