Hi List, I have a JOHN MOWRE (or Mowry, Mowery) who was born in Kentucky in ca. 1804 and died in Davis Co. IA on June 19, 1873. He married a LUCINDA ______ who was also born in KY ca. 1810. She might have been a first or second wife. Did he live in Indiana at one time before he moved to Iowa? There is a John Mowre listed in 1830 in Decatur Co. Indiana. Thanks, Nancy Helvey

I have no idea where he is buried. There is also a SARAH MOWERY, WILEY MOWERY, and JOSEPH MOWERY in the 1850-60 census of Van Buren CO. IA (Jackson Twp.). Looking for information on Jesse SUMMERS, bn pos. abt 1765 prob. Maryland died in Kentucky. He was married to a Rachel who? They signed their son Greenberry SUMMERS marriage certificate 15 Apr 1816 Washington County KY. I believe they also had a son by the name of Jesse, and I believe that Greenberry was named after Colonel Nicholas GREENBERRY. Have not been able to find a connection to the Greenberry family.
