For those of you in the area who may have an interest, the 1998 Annual Meeting of the Silver Creek Cemeterial Association will be held this weekend at the "old brick church" on Brick Church Road between Sellersburg and Charlestown. The meeting will begin at 2:30 PM on Sunday afternoon, May 17. There are several fascinating articles relating to the many, many pioneers buried at Silver Creek Cemetery linked on the Clark County USGENWEB page at http://www.rootsweb.com/~inclark/clark.htm BTW, Silver Creek Church was the FIRST Protestant Church established in the state of Indiana, chartered as a Baptist congregation in 1798. If you need directions or other information, just let me know.
