    3. Hi everyone... I'm new to the list, but thought I'd jump in and get my feet wet anyway! My g-g-g-grandfather was Absalom BRILEY, b. abt. 1795 in North Carolina or Kentucky. He married Hannah WHEELER 8 Aug 1822 in Perry Co., Indiana. Absalom had at least one brother, James BRILEY, b. 15 Jul 1798, who married Malinda NEWKIRK 24 Feb 1820 in Crawford Co., Indiana. There was probably another brother named Samuel, b. 1781-1790, who married Margaret BART or BEST in 1819 in Crawford Co., Indiana. In 1820, a Marget BRILEY, age 45+, was enumerated in the Crawford Co., Indiana census. The only other person living with her was a male, age 16-25, which would fit Absalom's birthdate. Nearby were James BRILEY and his wife [Malinda] and Samuel BRILEY and his wife [Margaret]. Is Marget BRILEY the mother of Absalom, James and Samuel? Also in Crawford Co., Indiana, on 1 Jul 1818, a William BRILEY was killed by a man named OULEY. OULEY was convicted and hung. I haven't been able to find any additional information on this William BRILEY. Was Marget BRILEY, in the 1820 Crawford Co., Indiana census, his widow? Associated families of WHEELER, NEWKIRK, and ZENOR all have ties back to Jefferson/Bullitt Co., Kentucky before arriving in Harrison Co., Indiana and later Crawford Co. and Perry Co. Eventually these families migrated to Clay Co., Indiana and then on to Boone and Story Counties, Iowa. Do any of these names look familiar to other KENTUCKIANA researchers? Thanks! Diane
