    1. [KENTUCKIANA-L] Re: GRAY and SMITH from Hardin County KY to Wilson County KS
    2. I have in my possession, five typed pages, plus footnotes, from a book that I am searching . Title and author unknown, but I believe it was written before the 1950's. The portion that I have is titled The Sons of Silas and Rebecca Peck Smith. The oldest son was Jonas Gray SMITH I (known as Uncle Jote). Jonas was named for his paternal g-grandfather, Jonas GRAY whose wife Hannah SWANK was d/o Revolutionary John SWANK. ...............William Gray m Ann Marlow ...........................William M GRAY b 1837 m 1861 Louisia B MILLER ......................................Mary A(Mollie) GRAY m 1883 Jonas Gray ........................................SMITH ......................................William B GRAY m 1885 Philena CRAIG ......................................Sally GRAY m Doc SMITH ......................................James GRAY 1867-1943 ......................................Iva Ellen GRAY m Jonas Gray SMITH ......................................Lella Alice GRAY b 1887 ......................................Curtis C GRAY b 1873 ......................................Jonas GRAY b 1875 ......................................Frank GRAY b 1878 Footnote 1, "see chapter 2 for the history of the Gray family" If anyone knows the title and how I can find this source I will be very greatful. It also mentions Christopher MILLER and his decendants. This family was in Hardin co KY very early before coming to KS 1870-1880. Hope this is familiar to someone out there!
