Searching for parents of Henry Frederick HESSIG (Hassig, Haessig, Hesseg, Haessick, Hessick) who was born between 1848 and 1852 in southern Indiana. Henry married Ruth FULLER (daughter of Noah FULLER and Hannah WALLER) in 1880 in Perry county, Indiana. They had one son, Noah Henderson HESSIG. Ruth died in 1884 in Perry county. Henry then married Barbara Ellen KELLEMS in 1887 in Perry county. They lived in Perry, Dubois, and Clark counties, Indiana and were the parents of five sons and three daughters. Henry's father was George HESSIG who reportedly immigrated from Germany in 1848 with his brother (name unknown). His mother's name is unknown. I have found records of George HESSIG (with various spellings) in Dubois and Spencer counties, Indiana. These records have him coupled with Elizabeth KRIGER (Kruger), Julia SCHOENBACH, and Catherina RICHTER. Unfortunately, they usually say that George was born in France. I am looking for evidence that these are all the same George and/or one of them was the father of my Henry. Additionally, I need to know who Henry's mother was.
