Thanks to those who responded about the Catholic church in Washington County. I have several German ancestors who were Catholic and several who were Lutheran. Some areas in Germany were predominantly one religion or the other. However, all I know about my Mathias MUELLER / MILLER is that his daughter (my gr-grandmother) was married in a Catholic church here in Perry County. Her mother was a witness. If he and his family attended the Catholic church in Washington Co., perhaps there would be records of marriages of his other children, baptisms, etc. Land records and court cases have given me the few clues I have so far. I'm still optimistic. . . I appreciate all your help. Clara
