I am searching for more information about the parents, siblings and offspring of BERNARD MATTINGLY (born c. 1827) who married ELIZABETH DAVIS (born c. 1823) at St. Patrick's Chapel, Stithton (now FT Knox), Meade County, KY on 1 April 1845. They are present in the 1850 & 1860 Meade County Census recordings and then BERNARD appears to have moved to LINCOLN County, KY where he appears in the 1870 & 1880 census records. The known children of Bernard & Elizabeth are: Eliza Jane (born 2 June 1846) Robert Thomas (born 3 Oct 1848 Ann Maria (born 11 May 1850) Mary Elizabeth (born 28 April 1852) Martha Louise (born 5 July 1854) Phillip Ignatius (born 1 Dec 1858) Bernard Mattingly later married a woman named Mary Josephine Stephenson (born c. 1843) and they had the following children: Josie (born c. 1877) Bernard (born c. 1879) Edward Peter (The later three are known to have moved to Nashville, TN later in life) Robert Mattingly married a woman named Sarah (born c. 1847) and they had the following children: William Mattingly (born c. 1871) Bernard O. Mattingly (born c. 1873) Beatrice May Mattingly (born c. 1875) Robert W. Mattingly (born c. 1877) Mary Elizabeth Mattingly married my great-great grandfather, DAVID V. KENNEDY in LINCOLN County, KY on 25 Nov 1875 and they had the following children: Phillip Kennedy (born c. 1878) David Joseph Kennedy (21 Mar 1875-4 Mar 1955) Oscar Kennedy (born c. 1887) Elizabeth Kennedy (?) Bernard mattingly may have been the brother of IGNATIUS MATTINGLY (born c. 1830) who lived at his home in Meade County, KY at the time of the 1850 census.
