    3. You guys were such a big help in tracking down Sharon General Baptist Church in Evansville, I'd like to ask another favor. Not bad considering your only clues were the word "Sharon" and "church"! In the minutes of Silver Creek/Stony Point Church that I am transcribing, there are a couple of references to a "new church called Macedonia". It was most likely a Christian Church, perhaps Baptist, and also probably in the Southern Indiana area surrounding Clark County. Anyone familiar with this name? Excerpt from the record: 08/1852 -- 3rd Lord's Day. Bro. John D. Carr presented a list of names of members of this church who had joined in the Constitution of a new church called Macedonia; to-wit: John Perry, James R. Harrell, Mary Williams, Sarah Harrell, Nancy Harrell, John D. Carr, Evelina Carr and Malinda Carr and the same persons are considered dismissed from this Church. 12/1852 -- Saturday before the 1st Lord's Day -- Bro. John Carr informed the Church that Sister Mary Ann Harrell has joined the new church at Macedonia, she having moved recently in the vicinity of that church; consequently she is dismissed from the watchful care of this church. Thanks.
