Could someone in that area please help me with a question? I learned that my great-great grandmother and grandfather, Jane Field and Samuel Pearman married Mar. 18, 1819 in Bullitt Co Ky. I sent for the marriage liscense thinking that there just might be another bit of information there. All I received was a copy of a page with about sixteen couples listed (including Jane Field and Samuel Pearman). My question----Did Bullitt Co. not have a liscense written out for each couple at that time? Is this an index--list of some sort, or is this all there is? I am grateful for this much since the courthouses have burned in some places where I need proof but I just need to know if there is a "real" liscense out there somewhere and if so, how could I obtain a copy of it?
