In reference to Lois Mauk's posting about the Veteran's Stones stored at Greenwood Cemetery: Mention was also made of the deplorable condition of Eastern Cemetery which was under the same management. The Louisville Genealogical Society has made Xerox copies of the hundreds of pages of records from Eastern Cemetery and is in the slow and tedious process of extracting, indexing, and publishing them. To date three volumes have been completed. I can't estimate how many more volumes will be required nor estimate a completion date.
