This weekend six of us began the clearing of an old cemetary in Harrison County. We were able to get about 50% of the area cleared but there is a lot of work still to be done. The site is overgrown with greenbrairs and saplings. Also, some larger trees. If you have family members or ancestors buried in the Little Flock Baptist Cemetary located between Buena Vista and Elizabeth we could use all of the help that you could give. Here is a list of the identified surnames on stones in the abt 1 acre cemetary. Stafford; Morland; Moreland; Wallace; Saffer; Funk; Mabius; Thompson; Brown; Kingery; Smith; Justice; Meek; Shields; Snodgrass; Brewer; Veatch; Willis; Cooper; Wardrip. We have identified over thirty stones but there are at least another 30+ fieldstones with no id possible. At the completion of clearing, we will post the identified stones with plot here for future use.
