    3. I have had a number of inquiries about the Eastern Cemetery books as well as related subjects including the Schardein cemetery. First, so far as I have been able to determine, there are no records from the Schardine cemetery in existence today. If there are I don't know where they might be. Second, our project includes only Eastern Cemetery. We have no records from Greenwood Cemetery even though they were originally under the same church management. They may be available somewhere but LGS does not have access to them nor do we know of their whereabouts. We have published three books of Eastern Cemetery records to date. These contain only the name of the deceased, th date of burial, and the location of the burial plot. They also show if the corpse was moved to another location for reburial. If there were any other notes appended to a record these are also included. We estimate that there will be at least five more volumes published eventually. Volume 1 contains deaths from three periods: 1843-1851, 1844-1847, and 1854-1865. It contains approximately 3,000 names. Volume 2 contains deaths from 1854-1865 and contains approximately 2,500 names. Volume 3 contains deaths from 1874-1883 and contains approximately 10,000 names. Each volume is indexed separately. There is no amster index. I know it may seem odd that there seems to be so much skipping around in the range of death dates but, trust me, if you saw the state of the decaying papers and the archaic system under which they were accumulated, you would understand. The cost of each Volume is $35.00 + $2.00 shipping and $2.10 sales tax for Kentucky residents.
