Hello, just got on this list and am hoping to contribute to, or receive informations from other users. My grandfather, Dr. B.T. Rafferty b. 1851 Indiana, d. 1932 Louisville, Ky was son on Henry Rafferty of Washington and Harrison counties in Indiana and married to Mary Hancock at the time of Birth of Bradley Turner. He was only living child. Henry died in 1865 and is buried at Hancock Chapel in Harrison county. Arvil Hancock has been very helpful in providing information. Henry was born in 1817 in England or Ireland and came to USA abouts 1832 with younger brother William. Became US citizen 1842 and worked as farmer and mason. We would like information on how they came to come to Indiana, with sponsor, relative, etc and from what situation in England, etc. We are also interested in how Bradley Turner lived and why he got to Cloverport, where he got a degree in medicine in 1879.
