Can someone suggest how to discover the names of parents in early KY? I have a William H Hawkins that was b. in KY, Mar 27, 1791, married Letitia Van Meter Chenoweth 20 Jan, 1814 in Nelson Co. and d. 8 Aug 1851 in Hardin Co. He is in Hardin Co. Tax lists and censuses. Not sure if he moved from Nelson Co to Hardin or if the county changed from reading the current posts. Lots of available info on the wife's ancestors, but I'm stuck on finding William Hawkins parents, siblings etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated ! P.S.
