On 2 May 1829 Christopher Kitterman bought 80 acres of land for $75.00, lying in Perry County on the waters of Little Hurricane on the fork of the Anderson River. (This became known as Kitterman Corners.), from Hiram Hobbs and his wife Sabra and Wilson Hifil and his wife Jane. The eighty acres "excluded" the part that belonged to Eleander and Margaret.
