    3. Hi, I'm new to the list and haven't posted anything about my ancestors, but here they are. Silas PENNINGTON, b. ca. 1802, md. Nancy (?) and had 9 children. They were Elizabeth ca. 1826, Thomas Jefferson ca. 1827, Richard ca. 1829, Drury ca. 1832, Nancy ca.1834, Samuel ca. 1837, Pamelia ca. 1840, Amanda ca. 1842 and James ca. 1846. James was very probably my g-g-grandfather. The family was in HARDIN COUNTY, KY for both the 1840 and 1850 census. Both Silas and Nancy seem to have died before the 1860 census, and none of their children turn up as heads of household there until the 1870 census, where I found only James, and he was working on the Daniel L. Lampton(?) farm. The other boys must have moved on, and of course the girls probably married. I would love to know who Silas and Nancy PENNINGTON'S parents were, and where they originated. Family lore says Lee County, VA, and YES I AM ON THE PENNINGTON DIGEST LIST, but none of the Lee County researchers have any record of Silas. I'm also looking for James's first wife, my great-great- grandmother, as no one living remembers her name. I did find a record of his second wife, Martha "Mattie" Hornbeck of Hardin County. Not to confuse the issue, but James PENNINGTON'S son "Dave", my great- grandfather, married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Anne ROBINSON of Hardin County, but I don't know the names of her parents, either. I do know she had a brother named Weaver. If any of this sounds familiar to anyone, I'd love to hear from you, and would gladly share what information I have. Thanks very much, Linda Koenig
