They had at least three children, Charles (b. 1843), Hannah (b. about 1852), and Nancy Ann Hestefine (b. 2 Aug 1854). There may have been more children, but these are the ones I found in the census records. I know Nancy Ann was born in Sonora, Hardin County, Kentucky and I assume the other children were, too. After the children were born, the Burks family moved to Grayson County, Texas where Nancy Ann Hestefine married James BRACKETT (b. about 1852), who was also from Kentucky, but I don't know where in Kentucky. Nancy Ann and James' daughter was Cora May Brackett (b. 15 Aug 1874), my great-grandmother. If you have more information about the Burks or Wallingford families, I would love to hear from you. I have a book on Hardin County, but the only mention of the name is Elizabeth Walling(s)ford of Berkley County, PA, who married Michael Hargan in 1794 and settled on a farm on Rolling Fork River in KY. Not much, but a little something for your files. Linda K.
