I new at looking for any leads to information on my family. I am looking for leads to when my great grandparents got married. Where do I start ? .. The family story goes that they both came on a ship from Germany probably about 1873 and settled in New Albany , In. and then moved to Louisville, Ky. Their names are Jacob Baehm (Boehm) and Catherine Waeker or Wacker. My great grandmother first married Jacob's cousin (Luhr which died at age 25 years old.) She had a son by Luhr called Chris and then later married my great-grandfather Jacob and had a daugther Louise Catherine Baehm Broyles, my grandmother. If anyone has any information.
