Read the account of Floyd's Defeat with interest. My genealogies on my Ryker/Demarest/Hoagland(Hougland) ancestors say that Henry Hougland and Gerardus Ryker were both killed during the Battle of Floyd's Defeat in 1792. Have never been able to find their names listed and wonder if this is the same or perhaps I am confused. The recent account mentions 1781. Any help would be appreciated. Am interested in trying to trace Henry Hougland. Ruth Filip
