I am seeking information regarding my great-grandfather, Robert Mears. Robert was born in February 1877, exact location unknown, although it is thought to be in the Kentuckiana area. Robert married Maggie Batman of Jefferson Co, KY in 1899. Robert and Maggie are listed in the Bullitt Co, KY census for 1900. My grandfather, Chester L. Mears was born Dec 31, 1900 in Bullitt Co, KY. Robert Mears died about 1905 of tuberculosis in Bullitt Co. Robert has a sister, named Latisha Mears who was born in August 1880. Latisha married first in 1897 to Elun Corum and they lived in Bullitt Co at the time of the 1900 census. After the death of Elun, Latisha married Pat Stewart and relocated to Hart Co, KY where she lived until her death in 1974. According to Latisha's death certificate her parents were G.W. and Nannie Mears.
