Funeral services for Mr.GARNETT B. JOHNSON, who died at 11:45 oclock Wednesday morning at the Baptist Hospital in Louisville, will be held at Grape Vine Christian Church at ten oclock Friday morning, burial following the rites in the church cemetery nearby. The Rev. T. Hassel Bowen of Harrodsburg will preach the funeral sermon. Mr. JOHNSON had been under treatment at the hospital for several days for complicated troubles but failed to respond. His body was bought to his farm home near Willisburg Wednesday afternoon to await burial. Surviving Mr. Johnson are his widow who was Miss NINA ROBINSON of MERCER CO, and 5 children, Mrs. HAZEL CRAIN, Perryville; OWEN JONSON, Scottsburg, Ind, CHARLES & MISSES EVA AND MARY JOHNSON who lived at home. One brother J. A. JOHNSON, for years a prominent merchant at Willisburg, and one sister, MRS. C. H. JORDON also survive. MR.JOHNSON has been engaged in farming for many years and was widely known and liked by a large circle of friends.
