This is the note I rec'd. to day from the National President of The Boone Society Shared by Ivan D. Lancaster, Board of Directors of the Boone Society. ######################################################################## I am sorry to report that although the HRJ7 resolution to rename KY Hwy 25E the Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail did pass the state senate, they tacked some amendments onto the resolution. It then went to the house, but the house rejected it with the amendments. Now, the state legislature has adjourned and since they meet only every other year, it will now be two years before the resolution can be voted on again. Mr. Bentley just talked with Rep. Yonts office, and we are all very, very disappointed in the Kentucky political situation! I do not know what those amendments were, but I understand they included some other highways and bridges to be renamed. Rochelle
