The National Cemetery Administration has put a searchable database online covering burials in many of our National VA Cemeteries (read that as mainly veterans'burials but have found some spousal burials also). The site has been getting heavy use so it may be difficult to bring up the search. Have patience! It's worth it. http://www.cem.va.gov
