Researching: ALT, BISHOP, GAILLARD, MAIER, REICHERT families in Louisville. Emil (b. 1831) and Katharina ALT came to Louisville in 1867 from Ortenberg, Germany. I would love to hear from anyone else researching the Alt's from 1867 to the present. Emil ALT's son William ALT married Anna Marie MAIER (b. 1868). Her mother Wilhelmina MAIER (maiden name REICHERT) lived in Louisville and could possibly be related to the UHL or VON AU families. Theodore and Letitia GAILLARD came to Louisville from France in 1885. I have very little information about this family. Joseph BISHOP was born in 1887 in Kentucky.
