NEW INFORMATION: What everyone initally thought is now somewhat confirmed. As I said before, my great grandfather Jesse or Jessie Louis Robinson was born on May 9, 1890 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky...and his parents were Louis/Lewis and Mary Robinson... However, according to my father, he left the Hopkinsville area as a small child...quite possibly before the 1900 Census...and "with both parents"...back in those days, people tended to stay together... I also found out that my great grandfather Jesse or Jessie Louis Robinson had an older brother by the name of Arthur Robinson and another brother by the name of Louis Robinson, Jr. All three were born in the Hopkinsville area in the latter part of the 19th Century.... There are several Afro-American Louis/Lewis Robinson families in KY but not in Christian Co. that I could find. I did find a Jesse Robinson, born Jul 1899, in Bourbon KY. However, he was listed under another family and written across the entry was see sheet 6, district 5. I couldn't find that sheet - rather didn't know how to find that sheet since it was electronic images and only took me to this one page. Are you sure your Louis was in Christian Co.?
