My husband's gg-grandmother, Mary Jane ALEXANDER, was born 25 December 1805. She married Michael DURR (sometimes known as John Michael DURR) in 1824 in Jefferson County, Kentucky, and died 25 February 1870 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. She is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Jefferson Couty, Kentucky. Birth and death dates are from her tombstone. Census records indicate she was born in Kentucky. The only indication of her parentage is from her marriage bond, which gives her father's name as Joseph ALEXANDER. There is a Joseph ALEXANDER in the 1840 Jefferson County, Kentucky, census, but he's not old enough to be her father. Does anyone know anything about this ALEXANDER family?
