Hello all, I am still looking for my husbands brick wall guy. James Felty, as far as we know he was born in Washington County, Virginia in 1823 and we know he died 1902 in Clay County, Kentucky. We know what happened when he came over the Cumberland Gap in 1853 with wife Margaret Linvil Felty and son George. What we cannot find is any family he came from in Washington County, Va. Cannot find anything to even tell us he was born there are even lived there. There are lots of stories out there about what his name was etc. but no proof of anything. He was in the Civil War as was his son George. We have copies of those documents, but nothing to tell us his past. Anybody got any ideas, would be really grateful. My husband Chet Felty was born in Clay County, Kentucky. Thanks ahead of time.
