Named Emeline, maiden name unknown, born in Kentucky about 1845. She appears on record in the 1870 census, and on every census up to 1920 - after that she disappears. My g-g-father, Francis Marion Davis, was in an Indiana cavalry unit but he was marked "deserted" in 1864 while he was at Louisville. That fact, the timing of my g-father's birth, and the fact that g-g-mother always claimed KY as her birthplace indicates she came from the "Kentuckiana" area. If this strikes a chord in someone's memory I certainly appreciate hearing about it. ------ End of Forwarded Message
