My name is Wilma and I am compiling on the Tunnel/Tunnell family from 1702 'till 2006 nationwide In 1820 &1830 there were several brothers were in Hopkinsville,Ky.to become Ministers I assume under the tutorship of thier father Reverand Stephen Tunnel Sr.b.1751 born nr.Fredericksburg,Va. I am compiling on Stephen Sr.,none of his sons nor daughters nor his descendents stayed in Ky. I descend from his brother Reverand Wm.Tunnel/Tunnell(b.1751)My G.G.G.G.G.He went to Anderson Co.Tn.most of his kids and Descendents stayed in that area. I am postitive they had a sister named Elizabeth Tunnel(b.in.1754-1756 in Fairfax Co.Va.where "Lady"Ann(Howard)& Wm.Tunnel (b.1702 in France lived) It is Elizabeth who married George Ball Sr.that populated New Garden/Honaker,Russell Co.Va.(12 kids) and five sons & one dau.migrated to Ky.in the 1820's B:James (b.1781)went to Louisa,Law.Co.Ky.(had 13 kids) D:Robert (1783)went to Wayne Co.Va.which became W.Va(12 kids) E: Moses (1786)settled in Pikesville,Pike Co.Ky.(had 14) F: Wm.(b.1791)settled in Floyd/Whitley/McCreary.Co.Ky. (They had 12)Note:He bought land in Floyd Co.but with boundaries changing he move thru to McCreary,Ky.!!! H:Wesley(1793) Floated around in Ky. K: Hester "Hessie"Fuller lived in Ky.(like visting)then went back to Va. L: Jesse T.Ball (b.1801)also went to Ky.(like visiting)for awhile the went back to Va. So ALMOST any Ball in these County are descendents of Elizabeth (TUNNEL/Tunnell)Ball So anyone with a BALL ancestor born from 1803 to 1960 (in Russell Co.Va.area or Ky.area) please contact me.There is a good BALL website,that I will give to you,have Ball info(back to 1450) and Tunnell info(back to1646)to give to you!!
