Carol: Descendant of that line eventually marries into Hilgert line probably in NE but I haven't figured that out yet! My Great Grandmother was a Hilgert which is where my interest in this line originated. My file starts with James Tilden Cossart, son of Henry. I have names of James' sibs but that's about all. Except this note on Henry: Henry could have lived in Northwestern Terr. of South Carolina in 1802 pg. 194 of census. This assumption is made due to the fact his second wife is from SC. 1830 Louisville, Hopkins Co., KY census shows Henry and two boys 5 - 10 and one boy 10 - 15. He also owned 5 slaves. 1840 Warren Co., OH census shows Henry (50 - 60) and 1male 5 - 10, 1male 10 - 15, 2 males 20 - 30, 1 female 0 - 5, 1 female 5 - 10, 1 female 10 - 15, and 1 female 30 - 40. This indicates his children from his first marriage and second marriage were living together at this time. Records also show that he owned 80 acres of land in Scott Co. IN in 1839 which borders Warren Co., OH.(?????from Ray Cossart) Henry is found mentioned several times in the Louisville, KY newspaper several times: Source Early Louisville, KY Newspaper Abstracts 1806-1828 by Crowder.
