George Combe Coatney born March 29, 1860 in Scott County, Indiana a son of George Washington Coatney and his wife Arminda Bernard Spurgeon. He married Eliza Ella McClellan on May 25 1886. Eliza was born on January 28, 1863 in Scott County, Indiana a daughter of Alonzo McClellan and his wife Sarah Comer. Eliza Ellen McClellan Coatney died September 6, 1887 in Jeffersonville, Clarke County, Indiana less than 2 years after her marriage. I do not know why she died at such a young age and have thus far not been able to find any information on her death. She is buried in Zoah cemetery in Scott County, Indiana.
