    3. Thank you Pat for answering my query about the Anchorage Insane Asylum. My next question is rather complicated. It involves a distant relative of mine by the name of Thomas Buford who was born September 18, 1824 in Woodford County, KY. He died February 12, 1885 in the Anchorage Insane Asylum. He was committed to this institution because he shot and killed a supreme Court of Appeals Judge by the name of Elliott who was involved in Thomas' lawsuit (still another VERY long story)... What I would like to obtain are newspaper articles pertaining to the murder and the death (obituary hopefully) of Thomas . Next... His brother Colonel Abraham Buford a famous "Turfman" of Kentucky who was born January 16, 1820 in Woodford County and died (due to a self inflicted gunshot) June 9, 1884 in Indiana supposedly because of his brother's embarrassment to the Buford family. Although he committed suicide in Indiana he was so well known in KY that he must have had an Obit in some of the KY newspapers. If there is anyone out there who could do some "Look-ups" for me regarding the above I would pay for copies and postage and parking or whatever (if it is going to be a lot, please let me know BEFORE you do the research so I can tell you if I can afford it or not) Or if anyone can give me some addresses I could write to, to obtain this information I would be most grateful. Thank you all for reading this, hope to hear from someone real soon. Fern K Buford-Walker
