I thought people might find this interesting. The Louisville Libraries (and possibly other Kentucky libraries) have a section of various Kentucky books. These are circulating books, not just reference. They consist of various counties and cities around Kentucky and many go into detail about various people who lived there, cemeteries, etc. Anchorage, Jeffersontown, Middletown, Louisville are only a few. Many of you have asked where old hotels, orphanages, home of refuge and other places are or were. The book I just sent back was called VIEWS OF LOUISVILLE, SAMUEL W. THOMAS, EDITOR. It contains well over 400 pages of pictures, lithographs and woodcuts of Louisville from the mid 1700s up until the 1970s. Many of the places such as the Marine Hospital, Home of Refuge, Galt House, Indian Queen Hotel, have pictures plus captions which tell the location. Hope this can help someone with their searching.
