Hi all, my name is Brenda Maupin Ballard and I am researching the Maupin, Hall, Worix and a few others. Most of all my family are from the Kentucky area around Ashland, Greenup, Grayson and around them parts. On my fathers side I have my great grandfather who was, George Washington Maupin married to a Emma (Florence) Sanders (or Saunders) born around 1857. They married in 1882 and she remarried to a JW McDaniel in 1889, so I just don't know what happened to George, did he die or did they divorce, just don't know. Some say he was hung by a tree for stealing a horse, but I have not found any documentation on this man. My grandfather was Frank B. Maupin and his wife was Elizabeth Gill. The Hall side is from my mother's family. Her parents were Wylie Worix and Gertrude Hall Worix. Actually they were 1st cousins (which I just found out about this) and his parents were Elizabeth Hall and John Worix. Her parents were Elizabeth Rice and Hiram Augustus Hall. Any family out there?
