My Great grand father was a native on Springfield, KY, I'm told that would be Nelson or Washington  Co. He was born 9-29-1873, His death certificate say's his mothers name was Sarah Okes. Father Unknown. I have found a census that shows him being born a R. T. Gerkins. A family member said he was raised by Indians. Can anybody do a look up for this man born in Nelson Co, Washington Co.
