My great-grandfather, Adam Herbst, settled in Louisville in the 1850s. His wife was Eva Nicholes. They were both from Germany. Census records indicate that all of their children were born in KY. I have note been able to locate a marriage record for them and the naturalization records are lost. I would like to know when they first came to the States and when and where they were married. Any help appreciated. BB
