    3. I have been to Berea KY several times. It is bigger that what I consider a community. There is a college there. The reason that I made the statement about the Berea church in Mercer County is I remember going to a church in Mercer County a couple of times. Seems like the name of it was Berea Christian Church. I have a friend whose mother is buried in the cemetery there. I live in one of the adjoining counties to Mercer. Someone who lives in Mercer County can set us all straight. Here is a link for cemetery listings of the entire state that you can check if you need it... http://www.rootsweb.com/~cemetery/kentucky.html Here is the link for Madison county cemeteries that are online: http://www.rootsweb.com/~cemetery/kentucky/madison.html BLH -----Original Message----- From: Alan Jones at home [mailto:alanjones10@cox.net] Sent: Monday, July 05, 2004 9:51 PM To: KENTUCKIANA-L@rootsweb.com Cc: stapleton@iprimus.com.au; bhatter@dcr.net Subject: RE: [KENTUCKIANA-L] Berea RAINE/MARTZ That is correct, I was mistaken. Berea community is in Madison county. Berea cemetery is in Mercer county. I see 4 cemeteries in the community of Berea in Madison county: Johnson Cemetery, Silver Creek Cemetery, Todds Cemetery, Williams Cemetery Alan Jones alanjones10@cox.net Mission Viejo, California -----Original Message----- From: Betty Lowe Hatter [mailto:bhatter@dcr.net] Sent: Monday, July 05, 2004 7:43 PM To: Alan Jones at home; KENTUCKIANA-L@rootsweb.com Subject: RE: [KENTUCKIANA-L] Berea RAINE/MARTZ Berea, KY is NOT in Mercer County, KY. But there could be a community called Berea where there is a church and the Berea Cemetery in Mercer County. Is this about James W. Raine who was born in 1869 in England? If so, I believe he died in Madison county and not in Mercer county were Berea is located. I am not kin. Here in Australia we would read that date as 12th of February but I believe it could be the 2nd of December. these records have been taken from a Family Tree done many years ago..
