In my family there were kin living in IN, and they went there to get married. Like Roy Nevada Brady (married12 May 1911) had his grandfather there, and married Nora Ellen Ford from Monroe Co KY there and Roy's parents were married there also.they were married 1 Jan 1885. Then my Bruner's had people in IN and they married 6 Mar1837. I have heard that in this earlier yr it cost less to marry in IN. If you look at the IN Marriages you will see 4 Bruner families mariied in IN, and I don't know who the others were.http://199.8.200.229/db/Marriages_results.asp -- Teddy List Mom for the Grayson Co Ky List, Brady, Vertrees, Ford, Fulkerson, and Commonwealth http://www.kygenweb.net/pd-res/deford.html -------------- Original message -------------- > Why did couples from Jefferson Co.
