Hi, Am hoping someone here might know something of this family. I am trying to find the parents of Jane Allen, b. c. 1804 in Ohio. Her father was born in Virginia and her mother was born in Kentucky. By 1837 she is in Crawford Co, Indiana & marries Hiram Barker on the 24 Jan. 1837 in Crawford Co. Believe they are in Meade Co, Kentucky on the 1840 Census and are back in Crawford Co, IN by 1850. Hiram must have died before 1860 because Jane is back in Meade Co, KY listed as head of house with children Zachariah, Stacy, Allenada (?), & Victoria. Also living with them is a William H. Allen, 31, b. IN. I don't know if there is any connection but thought I would throw it in. Living right next door in 1860 is Benjamin Angel, wf. Elizabeth, son HH & John Troutman, age 7, all born Ohio. Help would be very much appreciated, P Belden
