Hi everyone! Just want to let you all know about the updates made recently at Kentuckiana.... A new gedcom was added....Goodrich. New family group sheets...I've added three...and am still working on others. The queries were updated over the weekend and it looks like I'll need to update again very soon...probably tonight. We have a new look-up volunteer with resources in Hardin Co. I've had a problem with my printer....at first I thought I was out of ink....but that doesn't seem to be the case. So the site is not totally printed....I'm going to my moms this weekend to finish the printing. Hopefully I will have the book at the library by Saturday afternoon! This means you still have time to get more queries in. I haven't printed that section yet. I still have about 10 more e-mails that contain donations to Kentuckiana...I'm working on them today so keep watching for more updates throughout the day! :-) Thanks everyone! They had at least three children, Charles (b. 1843), Hannah (b. about 1852), and Nancy Ann Hestefine (b. 2 Aug 1854). There may have been more children, but these are the ones I found in the census records. I know Nancy Ann was born in Sonora, Hardin County, Kentucky and I assume the other children were, too. After the children were born, the Burks family moved to Grayson County, Texas where Nancy Ann Hestefine married James BRACKETT (b. about 1852), who was also from Kentucky, but I don't know where in Kentucky. Nancy Ann and James' daughter was Cora May Brackett (b. 15 Aug 1874), my great-grandmother. If you have more information about the Burks or Wallingford families, I would love to hear from you. I have a book on Hardin County, but the only mention of the name is Elizabeth Walling(s)ford of Berkley County, PA, who married Michael Hargan in 1794 and settled on a farm on Rolling Fork River in KY. Not much, but a little something for your files. Linda K.
