    2. Craig Beeman
    3. "Hello Cousins!" Might anyone else be working on the STROUD, HUFFSTUTTER, and/or FOUTS Families, especially of the Indiana counties of Crawford, Harrison, Floyd, and/or Orange. I haven't followed all these families out, but I dare say that there are probably descendants in KY counties of this mail lists region as well! I have been doing research for some twenty-one years now and have been trying to trace the descendants of these three families from each of their "Immigrant Ancestors" for several years! Might there be any other "Cousins" on this mail list who would like to compare notes with me on any of these families! TTYL Craig Craig BEEMAN 518 N. 24th St. Joseph, MO 64501 ph. 3. Hi everyone, This is another hoax.....I, and others have checked into it. You all know I don't mind off-topic discussion at all.....but things like this (warnings of any nature) please clear them through me first. The hardship it puts on the rootsweb server is too much and it could shut us down. Put it this way....this mail I'm sending now is going to over 400 people. If only 1/4 of you pass it to another list, that's 100 x the number of subscribers on the next list (say 400)=rootsweb has now had to send 40000 e-mails! Thanks all! 3. I just posted a couple of addresses for marriages in Indiana..great spot! However, just for myself, I wanted to say that even if you don't find a marriage you are looking for on this database..that doesn't mean it didn't happen..I have had my experience this week. I have studied that database several times over the years..I know I looked at the answer several times but it didn't click in. One of the names I have always been interested in on the database is any variation of Cossler (Cosler). Finally, I figured out that a Cossler did indeed marry an Abshear (Abshier) somewhere. I checked the database for James Abshears and found a marriage to Louisa Jean Carter..Someone had written the name as Carter (instead of Cosler) on the index..it is very faint and almost illegible on the original marriage information. As there are Carters in the county also getting married at the same time, I can understand how it happened. As I was TRYING to say, just keep hunting..who know??The answer may be there in some hidden form! Marilyn

    3. Any information on ALLEN, William and his wife CHISM, Barbara. They were married Dec 30, 1841 in Meade Co, KY. Her father was CHISM, John. Any information on him would be appreciated as well. Could someone give me the name or names of the old cemeteries in Meade County? Does anyone know the name and address of the Prestbyterian Church in the area that would be taking care of the people's needs in the early 1800's? Thanks in advance for any help.

    3. Hi all! I've heard from a few people on digest mode and they didn't have a problem. It seems, though, that the first message may have messed with aol. It is in bold type....which alot of e-mail programs can't read and it looks like gibberish to some people. Please everyone....send your messages to the list in plain text. I've seen some of these types of messages (ie., bold, colored text, colored background, etc.) and it is alot of gibberish and very hard to read when using a plain text e-mail program. 3. Hi again! I want to welcome the new people on the list and let you all know that this list is just one part of my website Kentuckiana Genealogy. Visit my website at http://www.aye.net/~dee1234/ And all the new people, please feel free to send a message through the list at any time....this is a great group of people, and not at all interested in flaming anyone! This is the best list I'm on, the most understanding, and the least hateful! And with over 400 subscribers it's amazing it is working out so well! :-) (Now don't you all go and make a liar outta me! ;-)) I have made a few updates so far today with more to come. I've added some Jefferson Co., KY births, Jefferson Co., KY deeds and Breckinridge Co., KY births. I'm working now on Family group sheets, so watch for those later today. I'll send another update later once I'm finished for the day. ;-) Thanks! Dee listowner for KENTUCKIANA-L Kentuckiana Genealogy http://www.aye.net/~dee1234/

    2. Dee
    3. Hi everyone! I have been working on a new section called "Famous People in Kentuckiana" This section will include famous people who were born here, died here, or were involved in something important here. My list now has over 30 people, but I know there were more. I'm including a brief description explaining what the person did, their birth, death, etc. If you know of famous people, living or not, who would be included in this group please let me know. I've ran out of places to look at this point. Thanks for all your help! :-) Dee Listowner for KENTUCKIANA-L Kentuckiana Genealogy http://www.aye.net/~dee1234/
