    1. [KENTUCKIANA-L] Downloadable Gedcoms
    2. Sue Cook
    3. Hi All! I've updated the gedcoms on the Denton Family Website (http://www.acun.com/dentons). They are on the page of down-loadable gedcom files. Included are: Denton, Baker, Moore, Plumlee, Chastain, Hunt, O'Dell, Cooper, French, Shipman, and Huff. Many of these folks were in the Kentuckiana area at some point. If you have any Dentons in your family, hopefully they will show up here. You might enjoy visiting the site anyway, as I've added a lot of information that you might find interesting, as well as a few pages of old pictures, some known people, some unknown. Any corrections and/or additions to the gedcom information would be greatly appreciated! Blessings! Sue Montgomery-Cook

    1. [KENTUCKIANA-L] Fwd: WASHINGON CO. IN - CATHOLICS
    2. In a message dated 6/15/98 10:34:19 PM Pacific Daylight Time, Katie32903 writes: << Hi there I am originally from Louisville, KY but my dad was from Pekin, IN which I believe is in Washington CO. His family was German and Scotch and they belonged to the Church of Christ. I am Catholic (mom was Catholic) and I don't ever, in all my visits to Borden, Pekin, Salem, do I ever remember seeing or even hearing that there was a Catholic Church in the area. However, Louisville had a very large German population at one time. They even had a section of town which was called Germantown. In the center of "Germantown" was a very beautiful and quite ornate old Catholic Church. I can't recall the name at the moment but I remember passing by on the bus when I was a child. My dad's family (McCutchan) owned the little store in Borden now called Brewers. This was many years ago. Take care Rita >>
