Here is mine - INDIANA - Clark and/or Floyd County - 1. John KELMEL/KOLMAN and wife Amelia ?, came from Germany c 1860-63, children: Casimir (my ggrandfather); Oswald; Lucy; Andrew/Andres and Margaret. Have information on Casimir down, but what happened to his siblings and where are John and Amelia buried. Casimir and wife are buried at St Joseph on the Hill Catholic Church Cemetery. Casimir, Oswald and Lucy were born in Germany and Andrew and Margaret in Indiana. 2. Herman/Henry SCHALK b Germany m Maria Catherine JUNKER in Louisville, KY. In marriage index her name is listed as JUNK. Their daughter Catherine married Casimir KELMEL. Have some information on their children, but still some missing puzzle pieces. When did Herman/Henry arrive in Louisville and did he arrive alone or with his parents and/or siblings? INDIANA - Washington County (this one for a friend not currently online) Jacob STEPHENS b 1836 Clark Co, IL m Charlotte McCRARY 1860 in Washington Co., IN. Jacob's parents were Jacob STEPHENS and Susannah ?; Charlotte's parents were Joseph McCRARY and Charlotte ?. What were their mothers maiden names? Where did the McCRARY's come from? Jacob Stephens served withthe 12th Independent Battery Light Artillery in Indiana during the Civil War. Sometime after 1870 they moved to MO locating in Morgan, Camden and Miller counties at various times. KENTUCKY - Jefferson County Seeking information on a John Henry JUNKER and wife Catherine. They came to the US from Germany in 1834, going to Cincinnati and then to Louisville. First time found in census was 1860 in Louisville. Were they in Louisville prior to that or Ohio? According to letter from an aunt he had a store in Louisville on 8th and Green St. One son, Herman also had a store located on 4th St near the Race Course. Lots of gaps to fill. Allied Lines to all of the above, except Stephens: Eberle, Graf, Gettlefinger, Goedecker, Schaeffer, Walz, Boeswald, Ficker and very possibly others. I just noticed the name Pusey on one of the roll-call responses. I have a mystery WILLIAM COSLER, who married an ARENTHA M. PUSEY on March 17, 1846, in Perry Co. IN. I haven't been able to place him on the tree at this time; however, I feel he must be a branch.
