I am trying to solve a mystery about my g.g.grandfather, Samuel Breashear who, once married, lived in Louisville. He was married to someone whose last name had been Upton. They had one child, Edith, born in 1898. When Edith was about 2 or 3 years old, Samuel disappeared. Family rumor says that he had taken a job near the Ohio River there in Louisville and he may have met up with foul play, drowned, or just ran off. If anyone knows anything about him or his parentage, please let me know. Thanks. Stephanie claytons@bardstown.com
I am searching for the origins of the Samuel MILLS family who lived near Jeffersonville. Samuel MILLS (d abt 1822) and his wife Mary MILLER (b 1760) arrived in Jefferson Co., Ky about 1802. Some of their children were Isaac (b 1789), Jonathan, Polly, Sydney and Sally. They could be from Maryland or the WVa part of Virginia. Any help would be appreciated. Pam Kirkland Oklahoma

Hopson Willoughby was born in 1820 in the state of Kentucky, but I do not know where in the state. At the age of 19 he left his birth state settling in Missouri. Some where, some time he married Malinda WLLIAMS, said to have been born in Kentucky. Malinda and Hopson were in Wayne county Iowa by 1854 when son James was born, son David was also born there in 1856. The Willoughby's with their children moved to Kansas settling in Wilson county where they farmed on the Verdigris river. Malinda and Hopson returned to Iowa in 1901. Most of their children married and raised their families in Wilson county. Looking for the Kentucky roots of Hopson! Sandy Heinrich Gainesville FL
OOps, I think I sent my last message in the wrong e-mail format. I am trying it again in plain text. Sorry about the goof. Does anyone one have the 1840 and 1850 Census for Harrison County, Indiana? I am looking for my great grandmother Nancy Jane Evans Dollins. She married William Dollins in Washington County, Indiana February 1, 1857. She was born about 1840. I believe Nancy Jane Evans parents lived in or around Harrison or Washington Counties. Can anyone help or give me ideas how to proceed? Thanks Bill Park bpark@bendnet.com

This is a real stumper - looking for an obit or death cert. for my great- grandfather, Jacob Franklin Manley. Was married to Anna (Mitchell) Manley. Found both listed on 1910 census in Frankfort, KY. Found her death (in 1926) listed on the Kentucky Death Index, which begins 1911. Ordered a copy of death cert. and shows her listed as widow. BUT there is no death listed from 1911-1926 for Jacob Franklin Manley. Must have died in 1910??? Does anyone have access to or knowledge of this information?? (There is a Jacob Franklin Manley listed on death index for 1960, age 96 but according to census information the date of birth would be incorrect.) ANY AND ALL HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED!
