    1. [KENTUCKIANA-L] Long shot for RAYBURNS
    2. Diane Rayburn
    3. I hope I am doing this right as I have so little information to go on. My husbands Rayburns came from KY Casey Co etc. ROBERT RAYBORN born 1856 was supposedly moved to Indiana when he got too old to look after himself, he had a daughter [could have been Bettsie] living in Indiana who sent for him. The family were long lived so he could have been alive into the late 1940's. A son Morris born in KY. 1887 is thought to have been issued his SS# in Indiana, but died in KY. The link is there with Indiana but I have no clues, am hoping someone might just have come across this family. I am English, live in England so am a bit shaky on boundaries and migrations, but am on a learning curve so any help is greatly appreciated........... With thanks in advance...........Diane Rayburn

    3. I would like to welcome those of you new to this site and tell you there are some really great folks who are willing to help just for the asking. I, myself do Volunteer research at Andersonville Civil War Prison in Andersonville Georgia. Any research I do is absolutely at NO cost and I am willing to do what I can. My sources are the following....... There are 2 online databases to do lookups.....One by name...one by Company and Regiment. I also have a copy of the Dorence Atwater Death list which has the names and grave numbers of some 13000 graves with only 460 marked as " UNKNOWN " This along with a CD I have which contains 34,000 names of the 45,000 who were imprisoned there which helps me find prisoner records because of misspellings of the names or alternate names. I visit the prison site every couple of weeks and have access to the onsite databases as well as the physical files. I would like to let you know of another service I offer which is to take photos of graves for a small fee. .I also wish to thank the patience of those regular subscribers for my frequent postings. If there is anything I can do in helping your research at Andersonville, please just ask. 3. I am looking for information on the members of John Alvin Cinnamond and Frances Herndon Whitecotton Cinnamond family. In particular, I am looking for information on Mark Peal aka Marcus Cinnamond, his wife Alice S. Pruitt and children, Marie, James, Melvin, Lee and Horace born in the 1886-1875 year range. I have reason to believe some of them went to Indiana from Kentucky to live. One grandson, Bailey, was found in California. All Cinnamon/Cinnamond families in the central Kentucky/Indiana area were probably related to me. Thanks for any help anyone can give. I hope to return the favor someday. 1. [KENTUCKIANA-L] STEPHENSON descendants
    2. margaret
    3. Hi, there. Checking in for roll call. Still looking for descendants of or information regarding John Samuel Stephenson, born approx. 1879 and his brother, George Franklin Stephenson, born approx. 1885. They were the younger brothers of my Grandfather, William Benjamin Stephenson, born 1877, who came to Texas while in his teens. They were the sons of James William Stephenson and Sarah Elizabeth (Shively) Stephenson. Do not know what part of Kentucky they were in. Received one tremendous lead from Craig that will give me a new direction in which to look. Have already checked out part of it. Other names in our family line: Shively, Allen, Stevens. These were also in the Kentucky area but I am not positive where they may have been before. Good luck to everyone. Remember, take one step at a time and feel blessed when you see a possibility. Hold on to it. It may be just what you need later. God Bless. Margaret in Texas

    2. Hello Listmembers: Vacation time was just great and I realize that many of you will also be leaving for your various vacations also. This allows for a slack time in the list activity. As I have noticed that there has been little activity, I am assuming that many of you are already out enjoying yourselves. We will run the roll call from tonight (Friday) the 15th of June at midnight through next Saturday the 23rd of June at midnight. Just a few quick reminders on placing queries for the mailing lists, just to make it run smoothly. FIRST AND FOREMOST--DON'T SEND THE POST TO ME PERSONALLY, SEND IT TO THE LIST. 1. Please remember to use the subject line effectively. 2. Include any name(s) that you might have 3. Include any time periods or if they are estimates please let us know. 4. Make sure to include any locations or migrations that you are aware of. 5. Make certain to make clear just exactly what type of info you are searching for. 6. Please place the SURNAME in capital letters and not the whole post, as this   makes the surname stand out. 7. When placing a query on more then one person or couple, please use different postings. There is no limit to the number of postings that you may place. 8. Include as much info as possible in order to have the best chance for a response. 9. Please attempt to answer as many queries as you might have information for. 10. MOST IMPORTANTLY-- REMEMBER TO THANK ANYONE ANSWERING YOUR QUERY-- What they send NOW, might not be much, but if they are not thanked for it, then later if they find something substantial....they might be reluctant to send it to you. PARTICIPATING IN THE ROLL CALL IS OPTIONAL AND NOT MANDATORY, IF YOU FEEL THAT YOU DON'T NEED TO POST AT THIS TIME, THEN DON'T FEEL FORCED TO. Good Luck to Everyone in your searching.
