My Great Uncle William Letchford b 1886 at Gravesend was orphaned in 1888 and eventually was sent to Canada by the National Childrens Homes in 1902 and was working on a farm at Tempo Ontario until 1904 when he was no longer in the care of NCH. Apparently on the USA 1920 Census there is listed a William Letchford b 1885 Age 35 in The District of Columbia and if anyone has access to this I would be most grateful to learn of the details. I have managed to trace his three other siblings. Bill Letchford
William is a machinist and lists himself and his parents as being born in Virginia.
