I think we Duggers have done about 35 now through FTDNA and what it takes is persistence, nagging and often times having to volunteer to pay for the test yourself. The other way is to start a DNA fund for the project and ask everyone to donate to it for those who can't afford the test. If you don't already know several British Kendalls, you can try asking on the GENUKI sites. My Valantines had 6 different families participating in DNA tests. The clincher is that 5 out of 6 were close matches so that got us all inspired from here to UK to Australia. The 6th one connected to a well documented paper trail to Lancashire with a lot of proven material. Sadly, it didn't match the other 5 or we would have ended up gentrified and with a lot less research to do.
