Harry, Ancestry has two possibles, I think: Name: George C Holtum Birth Date: abt 1870 Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1930 Age at Death: 60 Registration district: St Olave Inferred County: London Volume: 1d Page: 85 Name: George F Holtum Birth Date: abt 1865 Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1939 Age at Death: 74 Registration district: West Ashford Inferred County: Kent Volume: 2a Page: 1476 Regards Peter I have been unable to find a death entry for "young" George. Before anyone suggest the 1927 death in W Ashford ... that was his Dad (my ggf). My sincere thanks to Antony Lambert and Peter Martin for their responses to my request for information on the missing George Holtum. I was aware of a 1930 death in Australia but committed one of the cardinal sins of genealogy by assuming it was for another George. I am completely satisfied that we can put this one to rest. However, I'm not sure that Alice and the kids emigrated with George -- too much of a coincidence to return to the same street in Dover. BTW, George Charles HOLTUM 1870-1930 was s/o Richard HOLTUM & Charlotte Elizabeth KING. George Frederick HOLTUM 1865-1839 was s/o Daniel HOLTUM & Elizabeth (Kate) CACKETT. Again, many thanks Harry C Jacobs
